Brunch: Asia de Cuba @ Mondrian Hotel Los Angeles

Sunday Brunch: Asia de Cuba at Mondrian Hotel Los Angeles on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood, CA.

UrbanDaddy last week released an Urban Daddy Perk Deal

$60 brunch + bottomless mimosas or bloody mary’s  for 2 people.

My best friend & I love Brunch so we jumped on the deal right away & a few days later, it’s Sunday!

We showed up at 11:30am, waited approx 10 minutes then were seated outside in the patio. We were lucky enough to score a spot right at the windows with a view of the city.

Unfortunately they were not ready for the group of UrbanDaddy people and were understaffed. Our waiter, Steve, was really cool and nice so we told him no worries to take his time that we understood. I mean, it’s not like it’s his fault. He brought us mimosas right after.

The pool just next door was just getting started and they were playing relaxing/hip music which set us in a good mood – had a Hollywood feel.

If you remember, Sunday was also a super HOT day and we definitely felt it. The umbrellas kept us covered but the limited breeze had us sweating a bit by the time our food arrived.

FOOD: The Sunday brunch is slightly pre set – pre selected bread plate and trio dessert. You choose your entrée. The food was okay. Nothing great. See my comments on food photos.

OVERALL: We had a nice time and were glad to experience Mondrian Hotel. I always wondered what was beyond those huge doors they have on Sunset Blvd. The views are great and patio/inside of the restaurant was really nice. That being said, I prob won’t be back unless maybe to try lunch as I did hear the plantain, avocado and rice dish is good – or – dinner. Click here to see this posting I found of somebody’s review.

// bill total = $60 (UrbanDaddy) + $15.21(tax & service charge) + tip
